Detergent is a water-soluble cleansing agent that makes impuritbabyd dirt in clothing more soluble in water. All detergents are made principally of caustic soda and other ingredients such as distilled water, hydrogen peroxide, sulphonic acid or concentrated hydrochloric acid,  fragrance oil, palm kernel oil, thick ash, and dye. However, fragrance and dye-free detergents are best for baby laundry and those with allergies or sensitive skin.  To make about 10 kg of powder detergent you will need the following ingredients: 1.8kg distilled water 750mls(0.75kg) hydrogen peroxide 375 mls (0.37kg) sulphonic acid or HCL 100 mls (0.10kg) Tea tree oil 2250 MLS (2.25kg)Palm kernel  oil 1kg caustic soda 3kg light soda ash  0.1kg dried bleach sediments Color ( optional) Note: Always use a container that is double the size of the volume you want to make to avoid spillage. 1.
